The trail starts in the village of Ameixial, next to a small rest park next to the "Casa de Pasto Ameixialense". From there it continues to the northwest, going up the street towards the water tanks. It descends to the national road nº 503, crossing it and taking a trail to the Northwest, towards Vale Redondo and the road that connects Ameixial and Vermelhos. This trail develops on a small ridge, which descends gently until it meets the road leading to Azinhal dos Mouros.

At this point, the trail reverses its direction, passing by the warehouse of the old cork factory, now heading north-east. Cross Vale Redondo, Monte da Seiceira, and reach the National Road nº 2, cross it and descend to Fonte da Seiceira. From here the trail takes an uphill path to the top of a ridge, then turns right towards the centre of Ameixial. The trail crosses the main centre of the village, passing an old wood-oven in "Rua da Laje" and goes along "Azinhaga do Ribeiro" in the direction of the football pitch.

However, before arriving there, there is the possibility of returning to the starting point of the trail or walking another 1.5km section before finishing the walk.
Para regressar ao ponto de partida, virar à direita no cruzamento e seguir a direção da ligação da Via Algarviana para o Ameixial, e chega ao início do percurso que está a 420 metros.

At the crossroads which intersects with Connection 6 of the Via Algarviana on the access road to the football field, the walker turns left and heads in the direction of the football field. A little further on the paths diverge, and our route turns right towards the valley and the Ribeira do Vascãozinho. This trail crosses an area of eucalyptus forest, descends to a water line, crosses it and climbs until it reaches a wider path that connects to the municipal road nº 504 access road to Corte de Ouro. At the crossroads with this road turn right back to the starting point.
